Post 7: "Changes to my Study Programme"

Let's talk about studies, I am a design student and I am finishing my second year. Although we have a curriculum that has been partially adapted to the current pandemic situation, it has not been entirely beneficial for students, there has been a lot of academic load. Currently we have divided semesters, where we separate theoretical subjects from practical ones, which has caused a huge academic load on us as design students, so it would be the main thing that I would change, a more elaborate curriculum and thought about mental health and beneficial load for students. Although my career lasts 5 years, two have already been completely online, which makes us have a learning and experience different from the ideal one.

Despite this, they have already confirmed to us that next year we will finally return to face-to-face classes at the faculty, something that is totally necessary to exercise and learn much more about the practical side of design.

This in turn would facilitate all the facilities that are in the faculty, whether workshops or laboratories to learn in a better way, although they are facilities that need to improve their infrastructure (especially the classrooms) it is something that needs to progress for a greater benefit of the students.

In terms of technology, there is much to do, the university does not facilitate much what is technology and programming for students, it is necessary to hoard more in that sense and improve its use for greater academic performance.

To finish with the teaching method, the online format was somewhat exhausting and extremely strenuous for the students as teachers, in case the creation of a protocol was respected, it is necessary to expand to each specific detail, limit the working hours For a better performance, keep in mind that not all students have the same experience or learning capacity and reinforce that, they are small changes that need to be carried out in order to achieve a benefit for all my fellow designers, with better mental health and higher performance academic.
